After spending several years repairing structures of large buildings, civil engineer Robert Perry and his wife, Barbara decided it was time to switch their focus to improving the quality of homes, rather than fixing support structures in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and stadiums. They didn't know that this would be one of the best decisions of their lifetimes.
Our first pool was constructed in 1954 in the back yard of founders Robert and Barbara Perry. Officially "Job 00," this project was completed on Canfield Ln., in the Hastings Ranch area of Pasadena.
Business began quickly for the Perrys. Their first clients came a short period after completing Job 00; Job 1 was completed later that year for the Weiss family.
Soon enough, word spread of the great work the Perrys were doing. Only a few months later, Robert Wolfe, ex-Olympic swimmer and founder of the Olympic Swim Club contacted Robert and Barbara after seeing some of their work. The job included an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a feline-shaped children's pool.
The business has now passed on to second-generation management. Stephen Perry, son of Robert and Barbara, now operates the firm and oversees construction, thus ensuring the highest level of construction quality. His attention to detail ensures the highest level of quality craftsmanship — work that he is proud of.
